JP&Promise was formed in February 2008 after God spoke to Jarette Pendergrass at a worship service at Glory Temple Worship Center. God instructed Jarette to manifest a vision of comprehensive music ministry. This group of dynamic people consists of adults from various ministries throughout the United States. JP&Promise has a specific calling to glorify God in song, share His love, and show the joy, passion, and fun in serving Christ, while living a life of liberty. The Promise repertoire ranges from traditional gospel to contemporary worship, while staying true to the “Promise sound.”
JP&Promise was named “The Black Expo’s” First Place Choir in the “Gospel Best Competition.” Promise has shared the stage with many local artists as well as national recording artists. These artists include David and Tamela Mann, Patrick Riddick, Blanche McCallister-Dykes, Vashawn Mitchell, Bishop Paul Morton, Kevin Levar, John Lakin and BOW, Andre Delaine, Jerme Johnson, and a host of other artists.
